Bio

Dr. Silverman is a board certified ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience in the field. During his schooling, he fell in love with the finesse, effectiveness and elegance of microsurgery, and takes pride in preserving and restoring the gift of eyesight. He works hard to educate each of his patients about their eyes to alleviate anxiety and fear, and looks to provide a clear understanding of all treatment options.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Cellular Molecular Biology, Dr. Silverman attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia where he again graduated with Honors. He then completed a year of training in Internal Medicine at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center before entering and completing his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. A perpetual student of languages, Dr Silverman has learned a great deal of spanish, Russian and  other languages to help his patients.
