Dr. Harry Athwal is a board certified ophthalmologist and Cornea Specialist serving the Toms River and Whiting communities in Ocean County, New Jersey since 1991. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine and a three-year Ophthalmology residency at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Louisiana. After completing his residency, he did a fellowship in Corneal and Refractive Surgery at Tulane University. He is dedicated to providing the latest treatments to his patients with a specialized focus on cornea disease. Dr. Athwal is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology, Medical Society of New Jersey, Ocean County Medical Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He also serves on the board of iMedicware, an electronic medical records company.
